We have been alerted by our telecom provider that Chinese regulators are deactivating a series of local toll-free Chinese phone numbers on Sunday, September 17th. This change will impact certain GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToTraining and OpenVoice users starting or joining meetings in China using local toll-free numbers.
If you have a meeting scheduled with a Chinese number beginning with 4007, the number will be deactivated on September 17th. If your meeting dial-in number in China begins with 10800 or 4001 or 4008, then you are NOT impacted. VoIP calling will also remain unaffected.
For events that are impacted, you will need to switch your Chinese dial-in number to one of the new product specific numbers below:
For meetings that are impacted, the best course of action is to delete the affected meeting and create a new event. The new meeting will automatically include the correct dial in information for Chinese participants. Alternatively, if you know who in your meeting will be joining from China you can manually send them the appropriate new dial in information from the above chart without changing the invite for other attendees.
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
